For my mentorship project at the Think Tank Training Centre, I decided to create a likeness of legendary blues singer Howlin' Wolf (1910 - 1976). This project was a real test of my skills, as I set out to capture the essence of the musician. Piecing together the details from old articles and analog photos to bring Howlin' Wolf image to life was like solving a mystery, especially because there were so few references in color. The face is hand sculpted and painted, and the arms are hand sculpted and textured using a 3Dscanstore base. My goal was to capture a moment in time and I hope I've accomplished that for you :)
I'm honored to have had the guidance and inspiration of my mentor, Alex Huguet, who pushed me to develop the most realistic likeness I could create.
